The third annual China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS-Sports) is taking place in Beijing with the aim of giving companies from across the world a chance to explore China’s booming sports market.
The event, hosted by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Sports and running from 28 May to 1 June, allows exhibitors to connect with members of 20 sports bureaus throughout China such as the General Administration of Sport of China and provincial sports organisations. It is taking place at Beijing’s National Convention Center.
Guest speakers include representatives from the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities, The PyeongChang Organizing Committee for the 2018 Olympic & Paralympic Winter Games, NBA China and Beijing Sports University.
The Chinese sports market features professional sports leagues such as the Chinese Basketball Association, the Chinese Super League and the Chinese Volleyball League. Beijing itself has been active in hosting world championship events as it seeks to co-host the 2022 Winter Olympics.
