For the fifth time in a row, the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart, Germany (21-29 April 2012), one of the major WTA Tour tournaments relied on CONIPUR Tennis Force, the progressive clay court system from CONICA sports surfaces.
The on-site installation of the surface was implemented by the German company Sportas, which developed the system in cooperation with BASF/CONICA.
CONIPUR Tennis Force is an ITF-classified all weather clay court surface. The clay chippings are bonded with polyurethane and strewn with finely grounded clay on top.
As a result of the special 'hydroslide effect', for indoor usage no watering is necessary and it is completely free of dust.
It is also claimed to offer excellent match performance due to optimal ball bounce characteristics and sliding properties.
The surface can be installed within 24 hours and is ready for immediate usage.
