Speedflex – famous for its HIIT Without The Hurt approach to training – has recruited a number of new trainers to meet demand for its on-demand workouts.
Speedflex launched its connected fitness offering, the Speedflex Blade, back in 2021.
The full-body, guided workout has proved popular with operators as an addition to their gym-floor equipment offering. With customers including Village Health and Wellness, Everyone Active, Lifestyle Fitness, Freedom Leisure and Jubilee Hall, demand for quality content has increased, leading to the recruitment drive for additional talent.
This inclusive workout deserves an inclusive trainer mix, and the first signing is an athlete, model and hearing-impaired master trainer Jak Lowdon.
Lowdon competed in athletics for over 20 years as a 400m runner and brings an experienced, positive and physical presence to the role. For those looking to push themselves alongside an athlete then, Lowdon is sure to be a favourite.
Josie Baxter also joins the team as an experienced CrossFit athlete and yoga teacher.
With a degree in Sports Therapy and Exercise Rehab, Baxter knows the importance of correct form and technique, and her powerfully positive and peaceful demeanour will ensure customers push themselves as safely as possible.
Another exciting signing is Ben Edwards, who will be taking up the role alongside his position of head of fitness for Village Hotel Gym Group.
After discovering the amazing benefits of the Blade, Edwards – a dual junior international sportsperson – has signed up to lead classes and ensure Village members get a personal touch!
James Smith, Director of Sales UK, said: “We’re thrilled to have an amazing range of new trainers sign on with us, all with such a passion for the Speedflex training method. “The Blade is proving a really popular addition to the gym floor, and content is in high demand, so it’s a fantastic opportunity to increase our on-demand offering with some world-class trainers who’ll continue to be led by our brilliant head coaches Matt Bolam and Tommy Wanless.”
The Speedflex Blade is the most inclusive machine on the gym floor, enabling users of any fitness level to get a high-intensity but low-impact workout that’s tailored to their own ability.
The Blade features a built-in touch screen with over 100 on-demand workouts, and the new trainers will be delivering a variety of exciting workouts from 10-minute warm-ups all the way up to full-on 45-minute HIIT classes, and always Without The Hurt.
