Commercial catering company Lincat has added two new electric chargrills to its heavy duty Opus 700 range of cooking equipment.
The new high output electric 11.2kW and 2 x 8.25kW models are capable of cooking 75 and 110 steaks per hour respectively, giving an authentic chargrilled or barbecued flavour to food, through the controlled ignition of fat and flaring.
Food quality is also enhanced by an in-built water bath, which provides humidity to help keep food succulent and reduce shrinkage.
Both models incorporate independently controlled multiple heat zones for maximum versatility, whilst removable, durable, segmented cast iron grids give an attractive branding mark to food.
Similarly, both can be either plumbed into the mains water supply or filled manually. They are also fitted with a high temperature safety cut-out in case the water bath runs dry.
The new chargrills are supplied as counter-top units but can be mounted on optional floor stands.
