Buggy Lock is aimed at leisure centres, tourist attractions and holiday parks
'Buggy Lock' is a new security system launched by safety and security specialists Cardea Solutions, offering family-friendly facilities a low-cost, easy-fit solution to prevent the growing problem of buggy theft.
Introduced to the UK market in summer 2014, the product was unveiled by the security firm as the latest police statistics indicated a rise of almost 25 per cent since 2010 in pram theft, costing insurers £70m per year. The wall-mounted product, aimed at leisure centres, tourist attractions and holiday parks, incorporates renowned Ojmar locking technology as part of a robust coin operated mechanism, giving parents and carers peace of mind that their valuable buggy is completely secure when out with young families.
"Organisations have an opportunity to demonstrate leadership in customer care and to attract families by installing Buggy Lock," said Paul O' Carroll, managing director of Cardea Solutions. "The average buggy costs £427, so security is a real concern for parents and carers, yet few facilities provide a solution. This is a missed opportunity to differentiate themselves as a caring, family-friendly venue.”
